It was only useful when playing a rousing round of Trivial Pursuit. I didn't know squat about anything until I learned alongside my children. Sure I got a bunch of literature and history crammed into my head, but no one I knew ever connected the dots or thought about everything we were learning as a continuous story of human civilization. I am so saddened by these girls walking down the street dressed more immodestly than a prostitute would dress. They have no idea what they have given up and will never get what they really want. One of my favorite speeches on this is from the movie (and hopefully in the book :-)A Man Called Peter. Katherine Marshall gives this great talk to young women that should be printed and given out as a pamphlet. Love ya! How true and how...Praise the Lord for this article! How true and how good to be reminded of the blessings we have received from Him! "Behold, children are a blessing from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a REWARD". How often we ignore that verse to follow our own selfish desires! I am so thankful that the Lord helped my husband and myself see our own desire for self preservation as a sin that we could repent of and reverse! Thank you Jesus for our reversal baby and for the three he gave us through adoption! We met a Muslim couple the other day that looked at us in shock when we told them that we had 8 children. They said, "Wow, that isn't the normal American family, that sounds like a Muslim family". I was telling them that there is a growing number of families in the US that are beginning to embrace the blessing of children. Lord, help us to change the 'normal' American family!
